villain is a decent reg, hes definitely capable of floating dry boards and mixing it up a bit. I probably should be folding on the river a lot here..?

He bet pretty big on the turn, you think x/r would do any good on the turn?

no pain no gain

why would I x/r, what worse hand calls and why would I ever turn QQ into a bluff here

Isn't that the only way to win there? I feel like if I x/r turn I am trying to rep something bigger like 2 pair or AA.

i think this is fine.. betting turn is ok too but we should have a checking range and this is a good hand to have in there

i wouldn't ck/raise without a great read on the opponent, QQ seems too strong/too weak for that

hmm, you are right, QQ here is like, I am either very ahead or very behind. x/r would have been pretty awkward now I think about it.

Glad I played it ok then, looking back I think me wanting to fold river is being results oriented

I'd bet the turn regardless of villain at <NL50, people play bad vs bets then you just play poker on rvr really based on info/read - and there's not many floating hands MP v UTG in reg's range anyway

as played river can be folded for sure vs a nl10reg but the odds are good to get a read if you will use it well.
Reason being (UTG v MP)
1) People don't turn stuff into bluff much for 2 streets
2) People don't vbet thin
3) Hard to see any bluffs using this size
Like not even L3 villain who's trying to rep a vbet with a bluff- is that supposed to look like TT JJ? doubt it, he'd still make it a lil' bigger

93% Sure! Last edit: 20/04/2014 17:35

I'd start by betting the turn for value
