I think i was pot commited at that point, maybe shouldve raised less on the flop. I knew he had a set when he went all in, but I still had the possibility of a flush

pre (3x in position( is fine
flop bigger, on this board you want to stacks go in on this street. This is because on cards that give you the nuts he might shut down (JJ and QQ will c/f a club, even JcJ and QcQ have a tough time aswell). If he has AcX you want to stack him with ur kings aswell.

Yeah its kinda inevitable, he flops sets so infrequently you are making money anyway
You will over set him some times, but the vast majority of the time he will miss and have to fold even if he is ahead; think on this same board you had AKc and he has 77, he can't call more than 1 street (if that, but he is prolly not very good)

Edit: flop is fine if you jam turn instead of that weird size bet, you can make it 0.1-0,2 bigger to make it look prettier

ok thnx, makes sense. does that mean calling 3bets w/ any pair is good play, or just something NL5 ppl do?

Raise flop WAY bigger. That's a pussy ass raise.

If you *knew* he had a set when he pushed (aka, a boat), then your outs to a flush are moot. So, yeah.

Clearing calling 3bets is a good play sometimes, and other times it's horrible. Depends on effective stacks, tightness of opponents, how willing they'll pay you off/play tough against you if they miss and continue to triple barrel, etc.

As with everything in poker, it depends.

what devon said
In general you should call pairs to either setmine against nits or because they are strong enough against their range
for first case it depends on sizing mostly and if you are IP/OOP
second case, suppose you call 3bet with 88 BU vs SB.
If he 3bets 15% or more, you will be ahead on many flops, even you don't have set/overpair.
On 233, T72, Q23 etc you will be ahead of his range, however you still have to play poker and call 1/2/3 streets depending on opponent and board runout. You need to develop read; on 233 for example, you will find different ppl betting c/f or c/c with AK and AQ.

Calling with 66+ IP from BU vs Blinds is usually ok, calling OOP is usually a bad idea (except JJ-99 sometimes)
