I'm not sure i played this correctly. Probably not since im just learning.

I decided to limp in with AA because if you make any reasonable amount of pre-flop raises, it's extremely likely you will get everyone to fold, while by limping in (and knowing two players, including the one that stayed in the hand, have a tendency to raise with bad hands) i can re-raise. After he called me, i had him on either KK or AK.

On the flop the K scared the living hell out of me, but after all i have AA so i bet anyway. Once he raised me i was sure he had at least one K, so i got scared but decided to call anyway because he'd been playing very lose.

The turn i got a flush draw as well, so there's no way i was going to back out at that point.

The huge bet on the river scared me, but i decided to call it anyway, again because he'd made very lose calls previously.

All in all i felt really hesitant because i couldn't figure out wether he had that second King or not. What could i have done better? Thanks!

in general on lowstakes limping in EP and then reraising smells like AA superderp.. i always fold when I get reraised by an EP limp (its the kinda 2007-2009 style of playing AA in lowstakes according to Crushing the Microstakes from Blackrain)
One K shouldn't scare you too much either you should be happy. chances are good villain flopped something so more money goes to thaaaa pot.
on the turn you don't have a flush draw and its already clear that you can not complete a flush. A flush draw would mean you are 1card away from your flush.
Clubturn should have scared you a lil more but in general you should not have been scared in the hand at all times

Ah I just saw your raise sizing ....
You should fix your raise sizings. I would not recommend limping AA in EP (imagine that: 4ppl call and then look back at your flop and imagine someone would bet large -> he could be on a FD and you will be much more scared than juust a king). Maybe make it 2x if you still want ppl to call or if you have reads that some others like to reraise (they will probably reraise 2x as well).
But when you decide to 4b you should make it ~3times the amount of their 3bet
Or in your hand as played when he clicks back to you 2x you should make it 6x but in this case I would go for 8x.

Flop and postflop depend on your reads: if you know he will barrel a lot when he hits than your line with just calling (postflop) down is fine.
Your lead at the flop is correct and the only decision for you is to reraise on the flop or call down now. As seen calling down was correct here (if you reraise him hard OTF he might suggest the aces but he probably would have called as well anyway).

I would bet slightly larger on the flop (0.15), and might just jam when he re-raises on the flop. there are 2 diamonds on the board, you want him to pay more in order to see another card. Flop is dry enough that you shouldn't be worried too much about 2-pair type hands (since he raised pre and would be less likely to have K6 K2 62 kind of hands). The flat call is okay-ish, but I wouldn't recommend given the board texture.

If I flat-call flop, I would jam turn here, since there are way too many weird draws. And now you need to start worrying about 2-pair hands as well (although it isn't quite likely either, people could still have K8 86 type hands and raise pre with them)

River card should be one of the less scary ones (no more flush yayayayay) that you should be able to just call it. But man, you are getting yourself into very weird situations by not being aggressive enough. right now 97, 74 get there.

I don't think I am worried about KK too much because it feels to me that villain would have 4-bet KK, but it is tough to know but there aren't that many KK combos out there I think your hand is good to call.

BUT again, the way I found to deal with these situations right now is to avoid them, and actually punt some of the decisions to your opponent and have them make the decision. I think jamming flop and turn is definitely what you should have done at the first place. It makes your decision-making process much easier.

(Just my 0.02 feel free to tear me apart since I am noob as fuck still)

Edit: don't limp with AA. I personally just raise until they decided not to re-raise anymore. no need to slowplay at lower stakes.

no pain no gainLast edit: 03/07/2014 15:50
