But why? How can it be bad to call 2,5bb to see a flop when they are so bad postflop

Not sure if you are joking or not, but it would be nice if you could explain

EDIT: wanted to say, how can it be bad to call 2,5bb when they are so bad and you still have 110bb+ to play for

We're oop and we're against a strong UTG opening range making it difficult to realize your equity and there's still 1 live player behind us. However I think it's close, because I know the UTG opener is bad and it appears the other guy is bad judging on this hand. The extra discount and the fact we're closing the action in the BB prob makes it a call from that position, but prob is actually a fold from SB. That being said, the guy who posted this hand probably doesn't play that seriously himself as I myself have seen some more than suspect plays from him (Jammed in 43s 3 way PF when there was a guy already all in for slightly more than half a stack and I had 4 bet l0l)

One day good. One day bad. And some days, even hopeLast edit: 28/07/2014 11:47

I think us open is just permanently trolling even when he plays poker

Say bb Squeezes 7% of the time:
0=.07*(-1.25)+.93*(-1.25+5*R*X)
R=%Equity we realize
X=equity vs their ranges

Board:
Equity Win Tie
MP2 36.34% 35.15% 1.19% { 22+, A2s+, KTs+, QTs+, J9s+, T9s, 98s, 87s, 76s, AJo+, KQo } ~16% range
BU 35.98% 34.57% 1.41% { QQ-44, AQs-ATs, KTs+, QTs+, J9s+, T9s, 98s, AQo+ } ~9.5% cold call range
SB 27.68% 26.66% 1.02% { J9s }

=>0=.07*(-1.25)+.93*(-1.25+5*R*.2666)
=> R=1.00832

I was usually calling in these spots but...
easy fold actually, unless one of them, preferrably BU is a drooler(wide weakened call range)or you can take it down often post (would be reasonable OTB, hard to do in SB)

I know it's simplistic but you see 60% cards on flop, oop you always fold to cbet when you miss, not a clear take down spot when it goes check check OTT and you are dominated more often (way more) than you dominate them - implied odds are at best breakeven past flop vs their ranges if not negative. So going heavily above that 60% is unlikely

This issue doesn't apply to pps, I actually wonder if those are +ev here but prolly should be. We still need to realize ~100% equity with 55 and such but those hands are all about implied odds, and multiway suits em.
With stuff like AXs, the equity needed is the same but again they play better post and it'll be close with those. I dunno really

93% Sure! Last edit: 29/07/2014 04:34

I'm still 8 tabling zoom between 50NL and 200NL as I withdrew most of my roll to buy a car without selling my other car so don't have much $ online, even played a bit of 25NL zoom before I built up enough winnings and bonuses. I'll be back to 8 tabling 100 and 200 with occasional forays into 500NL when I've rebuilt enough of my roll
