thankfully villain sized his bets god awfully. You can call down profitably without too much thought. vs a bet/bet/shove might be a fold.

I was going to comment this. Can we lead small on turn/river to find out where we are at? Doesn't sound that good because when we get bluff-raised we have to fold out the best hand.

Regarding hand, this is fine. Also with bet/bet/shove I think it's still a call, in this hand hero is only left with ~$2 anyway
