raise 3x pre, this is excessive sizing. I'm also checking flop here, or if I do cbet, folding to raise

You can cbet smaller on this flop texture. I like a cbet bc we have more aces and most villains will fit or fold flops like this.
River jam doesn't accomplish much as he is never folding an ace.

i was representing AK so shouldn't he fold to that?

it looks like Trav94 is correct and that i was retarded to call his flop raise

i think i called it because i was trying to count outs to hit my set and thought that i'd get the turn checked to me which would guarentee me more outs (but thats only 9% right, and i lose to 66 too)

would you also make smaller raises preflop in general? i make big raises (.25 instead of .15) because 5NL

after ckecking the turn you are no longer representing AK

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light not our darkness that most frightens us and as we let our own lights shine we unconsciously give other people permision to do the same

It's less then a PSB at NL 5 when turn check/check. Also assuming you are going to get checked to on the turn a lot when villain raises flop is way to optimistic imo. Having said all that I like a flop b/f
