I mean, a call can never be that bad considering we only need to win the pot a little over 35% of the time, and we currently have 25% equity versus a flush.

He can have a straight which ups our equity slightly, he could have a weaker 2 pair which we crush of course, he could also some random gutters with a club or whatever.

Hard to give a precise answer without stats.

It's definitely not a big mistake to call here, slightly losing at worst and +EV when we expand his range. He already put a lot of money in on the flop most likely with a weaker hand, so it's not like he was getting great odds even if he shows a flush.
