And when I 4-bet he likely 5-bets (which is fine), but to me that also creates problems.
First of all, although it's likely the majority of his range we don't know that he only has AAxx. So we end up OOP very often with a board that doesn't serve us and having to blindly shove into him or risk giving up a free card. I don't love that all that much. It pretty much allows our opponent to make a perfect decision every single time.
Second, we miss opportunity to bluff out AAxx holding villains on a multitude of overly scary flops and turns. That fold equity seems a lot better than mostly splitting and paying rake.
Third, when they don't have AAxx we disguise our AAxx and can get it in on flops just like this one where someone with KJxx single pair + medium FD will happily shove and be crushed. |
