Common spot.. what do you think is best here when against;

a passive reg,

and a aggressive reg

(my 3bet is abit bigger, dunno why it shows 8.5)

I dont know what a dt drop is. Is it a wrestling move? -OlyLast edit: 05/10/2014 01:54

I feel like a cbet is best when against a passive reg, because i'll often take it down on the flop.

Against an aggressive reg, I feel like a c/c is best? because he might try to rep the flush when it hits, or even a K or Q - but if he doesn't bet the flop when checked to, and ends up flatting my turn bet, it'll be hard for me to rep anything good on the river if I miss. not sure..

vs passive reg i like a bet as well, mostly exploitative since this is a pretty bad board for our range so we can't typically bet too often

vs aggro reg (and most ppl in general) i like c/c as well, it plays well with my ck/call range and is good for the reasons u mentioned

Edit: vs some extremely aggro maniacs i like to bet similar to the passive regs, but plan is to 3bet their super wide raising range (this is a good board for villain's range, so i'd expect lots of hyperaggros to raise a cbet)

bet vs almost everyone, this board texture does not hit most people's ranges very well, if it was T85ss, you can possibly change ur plan, but your C-bets have a TON of fold equity here, this is one of the best air ball boards

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light not our darkness that most frightens us and as we let our own lights shine we unconsciously give other people permision to do the same

CCing the flop contradicts the 3-bet, if this is your approach your prob better off flatting pre

I agree completely betting here always our hand isnt good enough for us to do anything but want a fold here. We have to get it in if raised and I expect to be winning vs alot of guys ranges. If we hit something like q64ss cc becomes standard.

poker is soooo much easier when you flop sets

why does it contradict our 3bet? yeah the board is fairly dry but it's not the best board for our range either. we're gonna flop ace high a ton with our AK/AQ/AJs range, whereas he's gonna have more pocket pairs, more T 5 and 2

do we always cbet large with AKo here, even without a spade? seems kinda spewy, if it was like Q52ss i'd like it, since we can have some AQ at least. on T52 we're gonna have so much ace high
