Depends on the reg, but this seems fine. Think I prefer 4betting to calling since acting after this fish is kind of awkward... Which also compounds your reverse implied odds as well, I think.

It'd be a bit of a different story if you were suited, or if your position with the fish was reversed, or you were HJ, fish SB, reg BB or something, though the latter still isn't ideal as the fish still acts after you post flop.

That being said, versus a particularly observant/thoughtful opponent, you become a lot easier to shove against, since your 4betting range is(and should, if you have one) consist almost entirely of hands you're 4bet folding, since you don't want the fish folding with your really good hands.

In the given spots, I think 4b > call > fold, largely because I think calling leaves you guessing vs the reg too much, and unable to really profit much off the fish. They kind of cancel each other.

In this specific kind of spot, I think call and fold are closer than we'd like to think, but that's up for debate.

Yea I like this.

But I have no problems playing this hand OOP because I will lead flops when I want value vs the fish, CR some boards vs the reg which puts a ton of pressure on the fishes weak range and is scary to the reg, c/c some boards

So you'd be bluffing a lot post flop vs a massive fish and a reg?
