No reads on villain. This is a good card to double barrel I'm sure? What arguments can we make for double barrelling or checking?

I bet turn like 100% of the time here. You are aggressor, you picked up nut flush draw and a gutshot, you still have 2 overcards... You have a hand that is towards the top of your range that is relatively disguised. I would say the 8 of spades is one of the best cards in the deck for you to continue barreling on.

Were you checking with the intent to check-raise?

i'm usually double barreling, we want to build the pot for when we hit, and also fold out weaker hands that are favorites against us (A5, A7, 33)

argument for checking could be that opponent likes to jam vs a bet in these spots with draws/marginals, we have a somewhat hard time calling

e: also if opponent is bet/folding a lot here, a check/jam is nice. especially if opponent is floating a lot of airballs on flop (like QJo, etc)

Yea, sorry. I was going to check raise. Didn't make that clear. I think check calling here sucks. I thought check raising would be better, bcause I was afraid of getting jammed on if I bet, and calling is meh if that happens

this is not a turn people bet fold. unless they have complete air like KQo in which case we dont need to raise

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light not our darkness that most frightens us and as we let our own lights shine we unconsciously give other people permision to do the same
