This guy was just making a play on the flop i think... he defends to the death... the turn check is best idea right? hope he hit flush or straight? how would others play this hand??

Hm I'd def play it faster. Just calling his flop minraise seems fine as he could be drawing and we want him to hit. On turn you gotta bet tho, thats a great card he may have hit his draw and even if not, depending how agressive he is he might try to take you of your hand without really having much. Also there are quite a few holdings he can give you action with.
Besides I dislike slowplaying to the river most of the time in general - it will only get you a few bucks from marginal holdings in certain situations where your opponent tries to make a hero call. You should much more try to get money in the pot and hope your opponent has a legit hand because as said if he doesn't you are not going to get much money from him anyway.
