leading flop you only get called by better and bluffed by worse sometimes
c/cing with this hand lets you c/c again on a lot of turns and leading with hands like 89 would be much better

im betting cause my hand is super vulnerable and i dont wanna give free cards to random hands like K5. though, i guess since i have an Ace i'm less vulnerable to Ax hands. also i did it cause i have Ad so he's gonna be raising me less often and i can rep diamonds later maybe

i agree 89 is a good candidate for lead as well.

what sort of value hands are in our leading range though? like, even A4 here is value/protection but not a hand i can put in a lot of money with. i'd have to have like KTd or 44, maybe like Qxd. possibly QJo........ but we need some strong hands in checking range as well. idk im very unfamiliar with leads

i like leading when the board is very likely to have not hit the range of the opener, but in this case he has a ton of Qx and Jx hands and like bullshit said, c/c better

what do you do when he raises? do you call to eval the turn or give up?

ye main problem I have is that the qj flop is so good for so many hands, and while your hand is good enough to call a bet or two you dont want it inflated, and b/f seems like a bad go2-option.
