This is an old hand, but just a point of contention. It seems like it'd be pretty darn simple for HEM3 or whatever it's at now and PT4 to calculate EV by street. Then it would have actual value for looking at our games and evaluating them in some light, at least major trends in particular spots. But because of hands like this, and many others, EV and EVbb is totally worthless as a statistic. Generally for better players I would think it shows you as running better than you actually are (as good players aren't calling off their last $5 after sucking out very often) but in general this seems like a really simple thing to fix and I struggle to wonder why nobody has ever corrected it. Why the heck should the entire EV of a pot be based on the last street where money went in.

There's many spots where you get a huge draw on the turn for example, the guy makes a potbet which leaves 10bb behind that you don't shove in the last 10bb. In spots where you have like 45% equity there's no need to throw in the last 10bb in because you can still fold on the river when you miss whereas people will never fold their last 10bb on the river when you do hit. Can save a lot of money in the long run.

But I see your point. Then again, EV doesn't really tell any picture really in PLO. You can run above EV while running terribly as well.

so much of EV is situational (most of it imo) so I don't even bother with all in ev anymore and haven't in years
