Why c/c over c/r on the flop? I don't think the equity we gain by folding on a heart turn weighs up to giving him a free river when we're ahead, unless you have him as really aggro or something.

There is clear value in a bet on the flop and it's fine to bet/felt here. Your hand is quite strong to be c/c with and if you miss and he barrels out you fold. If you are going to check I'm with Artanis just check/pot. If you wanna check call some good hands I'd choose something better.
Do you check/call this because u c/c all bare AA here?
Or were you prepared to call down/get in most turns

If you had AA with the king high flushdraw do you c/c also?

c/c isn't optimal here for sure,
poker is soooo much easier when you flop sets

My thoughts were basically on any blankish turn I'm either c/r or open shoving but honestly not sure which I would have gone with. Calling off if the board pairs.
I guess the reason for this is that I've been thinking about what my c/c range should look like on the flop of 3-bet pots where I had PF initiative and my 3-bet range right now is so AAxx heavy (another problem I'm working on) that too often I'm check folding AAxx or check-calling one street and giving up on lots of turns.
I agree it's quite possible this is flat out sub-optimal and it makes the most sense with the blocker to just shove flop and avoid any confusion on heart turns.
Sorry dude he Jason Bourned me. -Johnny Drama

The more logical answer to me would be to 3b more rundowns so you have a more balanced range on the flops that you struggle with as AAxx.
