Almost 39% quite good, almost double their individual win percentages since they tie a decent amount |

err, this seems too weak to get in pre? |

he runs into a lot of situations where he is up against double AA, AA/KK, AKxxx/AKxx a lot of situations where they block each others hands but loco is super live even if technically behind so he ends up with the best equity 3ways |

of course sometimes he will be getting it in bad but it is unlikely his equity can ever be that bad with this hand. It would be pretty rare/random to be heavily dominated here |

i guess, but can't the same be said about pretty much any double suited hand? this has to be one of the worse double suited hands. well i guess something like AQ72ds could be worse since AA will own us |

The cold 5bet is by a passive fish, and the cold 4b by a fairly taggy reg, so figured its double AA a lot. Don't think I like the hand he choose to cold 4b.
I'm pretty sure I have enough equity here most of hte time to get in pre, since their ranges are often both AA and broadway heavy.... (AA, KK, strong double suited AKQ type hands).
This isn't a standard hand aside from my preflop get in I think ;d |

very common to get in 8910J double suited here; all day. This hand isnt quite as good, doesnt make as many wraps/straights, but is v close |

JT56$ds probably is only very marginally worse, because lower cards do better vs 2 high ranges. Hands like 3456, 4567 double suited are the best here. |

hmm i think i underestimated this hand a bit, non-gapped connectors like 56 and JT are actually a lot better at making straights than, say, 48 or Q8. (obviously)
i was counting pure number of holdem hands that can make straights. in this case there are three: 56, JT, and T6
a hand like 468J has four: 46, 48, 68, and J8. however they are all gapped.
56 vs 46 vs 36 vs 26:
56 makes straights on 234, 347, 478, 789
46 makes straights on 235, 357, 578
36 makes straights on 245, 457
26 makes straights on 345
ungapped connector is 4x, 2x, and 1.33x better at making straights than 1, 2, and 3 gappers respectively
so, JT65 has 4 + 1 + 4 = 9 ways to make straights
whereas 468J has 3 + 1 + 3 + 2 = 9 ways to make straights, though it seemed like it would make more straights with seemingly better connectivity
just some random thoughts i guess
btw "JT56$ds" what does the $ stand for, or is it just a typo? |
