Should I just fold this to his turn raise? I assume if I call the turn raise, I should call that river card as well.

why would you ever lead this flop? its absolutely horrible

I haven't given too much thought on when it is good to donk bet vs just checking behind. That said, due to what my calling range is, this flop is a better flop for myself than for him. My range for calling his PF raise of that size is:

66-22,
A8s-A6s,KTs-K3s,Q9s,T8s,97s,75s,64s,43s,
AJo-A2o,KTo,QTo+,JTo

Which means since he is raising probably 88-90% of hands PF, my range is much stronger than him on this board (poker stove says I have about 64% equity against his range). Shouldn't I be leading out when the board is better for my range than for his range? Should we be more worried we will get outplayed by his uncapped range when an ace is on the board?

Would you clarify why it is horrible, and what kind of flops you think it is better to lead out on (or perhaps what hand you would have to lead out on this flop?

he's got more nuts than you, so you're bloating the pot oop with marginal hands

So essentially my range having more equity than his is just not as significant as the fact that his range is uncapped. I'll think about that; thanks for the comments.

I don't know how you came to your calculations to assume your range has more equity because it very clearly does not. you have the same amount of sets (minus AA), you have the same amount of Ax hands, and you lack a ton of AQ,AJ,AK,AA,QQ,KK,JJ in your range (asssuming you 3 bet those, and I know you do).

So you can just imagine how poor your range does on any overcard thats above a 8.

I was shocked to see you lead here as its pretty basic stuff.

I just did it in pokerstove; I put in my range against his approximate preflop raising range. I made a mistake when I did it before (had too many aces in my range), but even corrected I have significantly more equity.

My range going to the flop here is precisely:

66-22,
A8s-A6s,KTs-K3s,Q9s,T8s,97s,75s,64s,43s,
A8o-A2o,KTo-K8o,QTo+

His range going to the flop is approximately:

22+,
A2s+,K2s+,Q2s+,J2s+,T2s+,92s+,82s+,72s+,62s+,52s+,42s+,32s,
A2o+,K2o+,Q2o+,J2o+,T4o+,95o+,85o+,75o+,64o+,54o

This gives me 62% equity on this board compared to his 38%. I don't understand where you are coming from saying I have less equity on this board. That said, equity is certainly not everything.
My range is far more heavily weighted in aces than his: more than 1/3 of my hands have aces. He does have a lot more nutted hands than I do though and is in position, so he will be able to play his hand very well against mine. He has all 3 sets in his range, and I only have the bottom one (I'm 3-betting 88).

I would buy your argument that since he is the aggressor in position with an uncapped range, betting into him is bad because it is difficult to tell where I'm at. Purely from the equity point of view though I'm quite far ahead, so I was thinking this would be a good flop to lead out on (and I would lead out both with some aces, and with some of my hands that don't hit the board well at all, like QT or 97s)

overall equity doesnt matter as much unless you are able to realise your equity

its better to have range with less equity consisting of nuts and 0% equity than having tp no kicker

with your line hes able to raise you comfortable and your c/c range is shit
