Are there any hands in his range that call here?

Balanced by using QJ combos in the same spot I think.

you're cbetting this board way too much if you're betting QJ/KJ.

You overbet shove river with QJ?

Artanis: you might be right that I'm c-betting this particular board too much, but in general my c-bet stat is actually on the lower end. I think it is around 32%. In general I've been trying to add hands to my c-betting range. Do you like checking KJ because the king-high might have too much showdown value and it sucks being raised off of the hand? I'm more likely to c-bet a weak draw than a strong, but in this case there are no 'strong draws' so I guess KJ is one of the stronger draws I could have.

Is that your line of thought?

K high has too much sd value yes. I check everything but ~A9+ and say 9 high- here vs decent opponents.

ya i agree with artanis here, i'd prefer to check back K high hands on this board. and if i do barrel QJo i'm checking back river. hand will be good a lot. anyway, i had 55 this hand

Yeah perhaps QJ would have too much showdown value. I was thinking the 2nd barrel gets most tens to fold out, but flop was dry and it's still 2nd pair. I am not sure what's normal. If most 10s fold to turn bet, balancing with QJ should be fine, probably bad. Perhaps 53 would be better to balance with.

how about a hand like J9dd or J5dd, even just any 2 diamonds. even 53 has some SDV on turn vs hands like QJ, KJ, KcXc etc. but i def like betting 53 on flop more than KJ

looking back on this i think flop is a fold for 55... i block so many bluffs

i wouldnt assume most 10s fold this turn (10Xdd is obv an autocall). River improves you over those 10s. I think check back is fine. bluff with some worse hands i think

i fail to see how we're cbetting too much. this is HU not 6max.

cbetting this hand doesnt mean we are cbetting a lot per say, just that its purely for protection cos its hard to get called by worse or fold out better

i think betting this hand for protection/value is quite good as a standard.
