if he's been 4 betting you alot. i'd much rather 3 bet a condensed range than a polarized range. cuz his high 4b% basically counters your trash tier 3 betting hands. but if you're 3 betting hands like QTs JTs you can more comfortabblly flat them and start getting agressive more often post. Whereas a hand like 76s you are gonna just get owned too often vs an agressive 4 bettor.

Interesting thought about the pre-flop range adjustment Yomer. In my recent matches I've been trying to not deviate in my preflop range at all to test if it was resilient against different ranges and styles, but I like the suggestion.
