Its hu and the guy is playing 80/70 so probably 100% vpip on the button and he peels a 3bet; He may be extremely wide here.
Then he makes a weird ass flop overbet when you can discount a lot of the nut hands (unless you think he vbet overbets all Ax on this flop) that might actually want to make a bet like that (AA, KK, AK, mayeb even AQ).
Its just a very suspect bet from a guy who looks to be overaggro so I wouldn't call it a no brainer fold, I get the flop call |

I'd argue his hand is the same in value as the bad aces except it actually has more chance to improve too (not super important)
Looks like OP just thinks this is an appropriate bluffcatching spot. Value not there in a flop bet but villain bluffs too much to c/f.
This takes some reads or whatever because a solid player will just valuerape you calling this down but looks like hero had them reads on this guy |

the blocking property of having an A in your hand is a pretty big deal here.
given his sizing, and how u r gonna have to check every turn and every river unimproved, you open yourself up to facing this type of river situation...
i wouldnt prefer to put in a pot sized bet on the flop w/ KJ vs Ax because the KJ is dominated less when it improves..to me this is poor strategy considering hoping to improve when facing such a big bet ... i dont put in a lot of money w/ marginal hands against huge bets on the flop ... i only consider doing this on the river. |

I would play Ax type of hands with x/c aswell just like with KQ KJ vs aggro fish |

I don't think its fine to be x/cing Ax type vs fishes, i suck HU, but if you can put a valuebet you should be vbeting always vs fish its not like he s gonna exploit your range |

I agree its hard to play and opens up problems when you c/c here. And I'd rather have an Ax (ur right about the blocker being more significant than clean outs) but my only point there was they are close and some people might find the Kx call weird but an Ax call standard. He's not making this play because it is good in a vacuum but rather he tagged this guy as 'aggro fish' and figures c/calling down most boards beats check folding. He probably has to be pretty spewy for that to be ok so I see why playing sensible opponents at higher stakes you might want to avoid this. And of course you could never make this call and still be a hugely winning player and crush this opponent. One of the best ways to exploit an overbet like this is to just fold. |

x/c is to induce him to bet with no hands, since if u bet he folds 80% of his range |
