(note: river is 171 into 94)
the main problem i see with this play is that we're not gonna have many bluffs when we take this line (maybe some Ace or King highs? underboats perhaps? JTc? random cards like 75c?) |

bet 3EUR on flop.
turn is ok ... but river ... hes either x/f cuz he has nothing, or x/jamming cuz he has quads. its not like hes x/minraising JJ on the turn .....check back river. |

People don't bluff nearly enough those spots to be doing this vs reg. You know this, He knows this and Marshall s absolutely right |

For this reason I think quads usually bet river (also who c/r bluffs this river so makes more sense to bet) if he is decent and thinks the same of you. His range is still mostly quads/air(or at least a hand that c/folds) though and there just isn't much value in a bet. A real small bet when he looks like he is giving up may get some crying calls and actually be the best way to play ur 8x here too anyways; gets more value from a weak range and allows him to bluff again potentially. |
