What stats or read did you have on this player to make that river call?

If you're willing to call the river on a 5 why aren't you just check/raising the turn?
At least that way you don't just get checked back by all the overpairs/AJ on the river and all better hands will shove it anyway.

Presumably if he's willing to call this down the guy is barrel happy, in which case shoving turn doesn't really accomplish much.
