I don't really see what bluff you can have here other than turning 9x into a bluff so I like call. |

yep call. i'm not sure what we should bluff here, since we will have value hands like 94 and T4. seems highly likely that villain also has a 4, given flop turn river action (3way on turn) |

Not sure he goes 3 streets even with T9 so if his only value hands are 4x+ and he likely has more offsuit combinations of A4o preflop than any other offsuit 4x combination (Doubt he completes even with 54o or 43o?) with a lower kicker than yours it looks like it's just a flat. I think he probably has to value bet wider than 4x and have a lot more combos of the lower 4x preflop for it to be a value raise with Q4. I don't think we necessarily have to worry about us not having enough bluffs, if the hand is strong enough to raise, it's strong enough to raise. It's not like you'd get to the river with T4o and say "I'm not going to raise because I don't have enough bluffs!". If Q4 is strong enough to value raise it's strong enough to value raise, I just don't think it is in this spot with how games play. Even in terms of game theory you determine how many bluffs you're supposed to have based on the number of value bets you have, not the other way around. |
