i make it 21-23 and hope he calls
lul at just calling if you re afraid of AA and KK then he has AK as well playting that way so its still an easy spot to stackoff even if he raises |

i think its a call... we're not ever bluffing this spot and the risk reward scenario for a value raise doesn't seem very good |

Raise when u got it. U prolly got it. I'd go like 23.5 and snap off a jam vs some and fold vs some |

ah i wasn't looking its an overbet i think call has a lot of merit here
but u can also get Ax to call hoping for a chop so i like re raising as he can rejam AJ in theory sometimes to take the chop back etc |

I honestly shove. Cuz, fuck it. Look at that sizing. Beg him for a split.
Lose some, win some. I'm absolutely fucking flabbergasted at the 'call' crowd. |

it's because you haven't played poker in a while
simple question: you raise, he shoves. Easy call because you have a boat? |

yeah that's what I did (he shoved) but I think it's wrong, for the reasons fira mentioned.
I just doubt I'm ever getting called by worse by this type of player with the way the hand played out and I have to fold to a shove because a bluff like that is prob too rare |

i actually think a good player will be prone to 3bet bluffing you if you raise here because you can't have nut and have one value hand (99) |

if you're raising you should probably call the shove, folding 99 here is a disaster for our range, can be the right fold but it's exploitative as fuck |

Yeah, purely from an exploitive pov (though Im no expert on population tendencies, other 100nlregs could offer opinions on this) I think
Call>raise/fold>raise/call

Would you expect a rndm 100nl reg to fold a shove with 99 because you can rep AA?
Especially 100 bb deep and after he raised your river overbet
But I get what you're saying and this is what makes raise/fold feel dirty and just call best imo.

call and note what he shows up with. then adjust accordingly. Why i like call in this spot is we get to see his hand which is very valuable for us here.
