doesnt seem to be too many ways to play ur hand wrong but with such a drawy board he is expecting to get check raised a lot when betting - so lead might be better? |

Doesnt this guy play pretty high stakes? You guys crossbooking or he just ur friend |

He doesn't play high-stakes at the moment. He did though; I think he played as high as $100-$200 on stars (definitely did some $50-$100, as there is that video on RIO of him 4-tabling against Galfond at those stakes). Back in 2010-2011 I believe he played as high as $500-$1000 HU on full tilt (sworn to secrecy on his screen name before anyone asks). It really is unbelievable how much the game has changed in 5 years, PLO especially.
He is a friend. I don't think a direct cross-book against him would be a fiscally responsible decision on my part, although I actually offered to play at $1/2 or $2/4 and was mercifully denied.
:-p Winner gets a little something still.
He helped me an unspeakably large amount in developing PLO fundamentals in 2015/early 2016, then I locked myself in the lab for a few months and did some fairly rigorous game theory work independently (especially on texture & range-based bet-sizing, a concept that I started that thread on a couple of years ago to get feedback from you guys), and he finally decided I was ready for a real match against him. So we are playing 10,000 hands over the course of however long it takes us to run into each other enough to finish it. Since almost all of my interesting hands for the next few months will come from that, I was thinking of making a thread for the battle and posting interesting hands there.
