Your bets are too small on flop and turn, and your river shove is unnecessary when the pot is that small. You won't get called unless you are beat. You are beat by TT, QQ, 99, J8, KJ, 78, so there's no reason for you to play like you have the nuts on the river.

Think 1/3 flop is fine as long as he pots or overbets the turn.

Then again villain's overall play is kind of what the fuck.

meh, it's not too bad of a play, especially for a recreational player, he obviously lost his FE vs hero's range, but he got to see the river pretty cheaply with a legit double gutshot that's pretty well disguised.(ofc this is standard fish with draw passiveness)
vs some types of fish I don't really hate the shove , in general it does seem way too thin, he could easily have all the hands Loco said

Flop is OK but I like 3.5 more

Turn should be bigger with all of your range; it didn't change (or not change actally in such a way that a small bet is appropriate). 14 or overbet is better with overbet getting even better if the turn Q brings a fd.

Call river; he reps a straight. Honestly not many 2pairs that get to river like this and the ones that might like 910 prob don't donk river like this. Those hands you beat that may potentially b/call river are a moot point anyways duo to the huge amount of straight combos in his range. 16 78 combos, j8ss, j8dd, j8hh, KJss, KJdd, KJhh and maybe even some other KJ floats getting almost 1:4. You need to beat half his calling range when raising river and much more than 50% of that calling range here is straights

No, it's probably the only one hand that beats him and is incredibly unlikely. That's still way too many hands that beat him.

Thing is you lose too much value against all his other value-hands

villain's play seems totally fine to me? agree that you should bet more on flop and more on turn. if you had bet more on flop and turn I'd also be fine with a river shove - more money already in the pot widens his river calling range, and bigger flop + turn bets decreases the likelihood of him floating or drawing. As played however I think river is a call, I could see making it 50 and folding to a shove, but shoving yourself is too much.

given villain's a fish I think we can just kind of go full explo and push maximum equity by starting to bet bigger on flop, otherwise we're fine with a flop bet on the smaller side

as played I don't think river shove is as bad as Loco made it out to be but we could consider raising 3x his donk lead instead to make sure he doesn't fold Qx

ah, didn't notice villain being slightly shortstack. that might change things around a bit.

Agreed.. if he is a fish the sizing is awful and you are leaving a lot of money on the table
