wp love it.
just for discussion's sake, what would be the considerations when deciding between c/calling turn vs c/raise turn? |

It's funny. If he sees you as a solid player, he can make a case for folding river. Turn raise is so insanely strong here. You're either repping QK or QQ/KK and maaybe a strangely played AA. QK and KK bet flop. There's just no bluffs that play this way. AA you wouldn't jam river. It's pretty much QQ only.
With that said, 50nl players wouldn't don't think that deep. If you raise turn and he has Kx, he probably folds to river bet if he doesn't 2 pair up. 66 you'll get all of it either way. Kx if you c/c, he may check back on river. If he has air, like 45 type hand, he will bet river, so I'm leaning towards c/c. Random Kx doesn't bet flop either. It's unlikely to be QK because of blockers, so he's weighted more towards bluffs rather than a random Kx that decided to stab flop. |

The flop wouldnt be bad if he didnt c/r the turn esp to that sizing.
You c/c flop why? cause you wanna disguise your hand / let him bluff.
Then when you make a small turn c/r while having no bluffs in your range all it does is make him fold his bluffs and give draws odds to call. All the hands that call a turn c/r and river overbet you'll get stacks in any way you play the hand. If you're looking to get value from that turn c/r why not at least make it bigger so the river isnt an overbet. |

Do you guys realize playing 25/50nl you are paying 6-8bb on capped pots. If you play live 1/2/3 (with a 5 dollar drop) you are paying less than 2bb in the
the LOWESt game avaliable.
500nl u play 1bb per capped pot.
That is the reason micros are dead and a waste of time. There used to be rakeback to get you over the hump or players just so shitty u could beat it long term.
Doug basically failed in his challenge btw.
Bust bet is to just take big shots all the time till you make it ala isildurr style ( bit stop and keep some after a point).
Or just play MTTs as gross as that is because at least the rake between low midstakes and higher stakes tournies is basically the same.
I gavw 25 plo cash a run and marginally won recently while paying 30-40bb/100 in rake ill have to check |

When did he start up again?
I know for a fact he started playing single table STTs rather than cash. The went back to playing cash HU becUae the rake cap is lot lower. But got hammered again through variance ans good plauers on the site moving down to get some practice in |

dougs back at it this month, him streaming and playing all the vegas regs doesn't give him the biggest edges, esp since its lower stakes. |
