You're giving him odds to call. 3.30. 4...?

edit:
I see you're setting up for river jam vs his stack.

Its a terrible sizing, you re shoving the fold equity out the door

river shove is 2/3 pot. Of course it folds some hands. I didn't think they were making monkeyish overcalls' but there is no need to bet so big on flop when its a relatively dry board and their perceived range has no draws

I like your line, some baddies even overfold the turn as well.

I'm not sure if i like shoving that river through. most value hands that call turn will be calling that river. we are blocking most of the draw type hands he can be folding since we have 89 as well.

You could even go 2.5 on that flop

I think you choose the wrong hand. You block most of his folding range. I think you rather want to bluff river with a hand like AT that unblocks 89s and 88-99 and blocks AQ, KTs

yeah, i agree after thinking about the hand afterwards. Although im not too sure about AT i think i fold ATo pre, and maybe flat ATs. i guess i might 3bet ATs pre. is that standard preflop in todays games?

If you play with 3bet or fold SB range ATs s a 3bet , ATo depending on villain is 3bet or fold, but i generally fold it.
The standard in todays games is 3bet or fold SB as in situations vs CO and BTN you will get completely demolished if you have a calling range vs adequate villains

calling in the SB can be appropriate. For example BU opens and you have 66 in sb. Also if a big fish is in BB that you actually want in the pot. vast majority of the time it will be 3b/fold tho
