It's really, really, really hard to get to the river without an ace IMO. Only other hand would be KK with spades, but I hold one K.

Maybe some rare 66 combo that's trying to get value from Qx and weak Ax. Maybe TTKJ JJTK as well.

Hm.. Off-suite socks..Last edit: 12/05/2017 10:09

Why couldn't he have QKss or KJ10ss? Folds most bare KXss on turn?

Nice bluff

Without a pair I don't think he'll call turn, but yeah KJTss is possible. I'm not sure why KQss would lead river but if he folded that I'm happy

I'm a PLO noob but how can you fold A isn't it the nuts?

You have trips here, not a full house - you need to use 2 cards from your hand to make a full house. So to have a FH+ he needs to have AA, AQ, 66, A6 or Q6. AQ, q6 both very unlikely when I have a Q. AA unlikely with no 3bet pre.

Even AK is unlikely given I have a K, so that leaves a bunch of raggy Ax which have a decently tough time calling.

Hm.. Off-suite socks..

If he doesn't even have AK here, then would you say odds are he's bluffing a missed draw? Seems odd to value bet AJ and worse when you could be betting a draw this whole time. Check/call seems to be better with Ax.

well there is clear value vs a bunch of Qx Tian can be betting (and is betting). not everyone is going to make his sick play; many players just click call and bluffcatch as hero vs this river lead

I think there's a good chance people lead Ax here because a lot of my Ax will check turn (I'm btn after all, so have plenty of weak aces). Then when the A comes on river, if I have a draw on this board, and he called twice, what does he have...? Probably Ax or Qx which I don't especially want to try to make fold, so I'll give up a good amount of draws (still bluff some but probably going to be underbluffing).

That being said, bluffing KQ without spades here is incredibly high up in my range, got plenty of better candidates for it, so I don't necessarily think my play is perfect (I'm a little bit of a river monkey).
