Wow @ flop call. What does river bet accomplish? Blocking bet? Or does AT fold here?

I think it’s to fold out bullshit bluffs.
Flush wouldn’t check back turn, nor would flop nuts, qx hardly raises.

Flip raise makes no sense so small bluff to rep nut flush is fine

Flop raise makes perfect sense, ur mean't to raise flop like 35% or something vs red baron's sizing, i had a friend solve this spot for me a few weeks ago. If you don't raise flop here, ur getting exploited.

River bet is just a bluff, baron should turn some of his hands into bluffs, 99 is a pretty good candidate, it blocks Q9, has 9 of hearts, and it's 5th pair, one of the worst showdown values he can have.

pretty sure flush would check back turn and red baron know's that. I wouldn't be suprised if checking back a large % of flushes is what the solver says.

Wtf does solve this spot mean?

I keep seeing it and dont understand it.. Link ? Is this the whole GTO theory?

GTO doesnt work if there is rake btw... I think people get too caught up in it and use it as execuse to call or bluff

there's software called piosolver that everyone uses at highstakes
seems like you are not very sure what GTO means if you think you are going to breakeven vs everyone lol ( thats what I used to think before )

Dont listen to anything I say

All hail wobbly!

well if both players are playing gto then yeah you will get raked and no one wins. If one is playing gto and the other isn't, then you might beat the rake, depending on how bad the other player is playing. If anyone actually did play gto they would surely crush the high stakes games!

You should play to maximize ev, not to play gto. But playing strategies which we think are gto is becoming the way to maximize ev, more and more every day, while playing an exploitative strategy is becoming harder and harder, because everyone else is trying to play a strategy they think is close to gto.

probably the best way to explain game theory optimal is to look at rock paper scissors as an example. (google it). I think Liv Boree explains it in a lecture at oxford as well.

Raise seems standard, the call is weird
