Common spot iso-ing from BB against fish with no history
Thoughts: On the flop I just want to bet my range as it should crush his limp-calling range. Turn card is a brick. I think giving up the initiative here is a mistake. I should probably barrel, think that fish will have most pp in his open raising range. And if not I can comfortably bet-fold this turn. I think check-fold any river that doesn't hit me is fine. |

Bet bigger on flop. this is not high stakes you don't need to do anything creative including 1/3 pot bets |

imo 1/3 sizings are just as good if not better at micro's, at least against regs. They do not meet mdf vs 1/3 size cbet at micros, as large database analysis shows. I have studied a little bit of nl10 reg frequencies beleive it or not . fish are fish no matter the stakes so you can go 1/3 or 1/2, dont think the ev difference is too big. |

I am not sure about the difference in EV with betting smaller or bigger here, betting smaller in theory in the this spot is correct if your opponents are capable of having strong and weaker hands in their call/raise range and since most of your opponents are going to lead or check raise (and often with a large size too) when they have a strong hand, you can just play a more straight forward exploitable game style.
I often find a more simplified approach at lower stakes works best. |

My standard cbet sizings are 1/3, 1/2 or 70% pot depending on board texture and how much equity I have on the flop vs later streets (and how much fold equity I think I have). Any comment on turn play?
Thanks |

i like flop sizing, it's good for this texture. although slightly bigger would be fine too (35-40%) since there are quite a few overcards on this board, than something like K55. theres also the flush draw.
turn my standard is to bet again, similar sizing as flop. this is the ultimate blank card so i'll be making the bet with my entire range. maybe size it a bit bigger for a little FE. river is a spot to consider a large or overbet with our range advantage. or to just bet smallish again with entire range seems okay too. |
