standard value bet, there is no exploit here. Don't think it forces them into a tough spot, although their x/r was quite bad, i was debating whether to minreraise, jam, or call.., it looked very weak to me. |

I don't understand why the raise looks weak
you figure he'd 3bet pf most 78s? or possibly mostly flat the nuts on the turn?
95s 96s should also be in range, you figure people dont take this line on the turn with these? |

one of the most memorable spots for me for back when i was playing/learning cause this is exactly where decent hands are put in a spot where its literally whatever if they call or fold here, which is kind of a tough spot, cause it forces them into variance either way rather than have a clear decision vs standard ranges
500z meta is light years harder though so |

@lebowski since the turn x/r is very narrow and an atypical spot, the person will be imbalanced, and it's, imo either very weak or very strong. I don't think an average z500 reg has the cognitive capacity to balance there on the spot, rather it looks like it could be a tell to me. raising overbets looks strong. So imo since it look that way i thought it was weak, based on psychology. The 9 brings 95s and 96s, but not any offsuit two pairs, except possibly 96o.
@spitfire. since most regs have studied turn overbets here, they ought to know that this spot they should just continue with about the best 40-35% of hands and fold the rest, so as long as they do that and pick the right hands it isn't a tough spot. However this time they did, imo misplay it. |
