well my range improves a lot on this turn card so i should have a leading range. 1/3 size allows me to lead with a wider range of hands. Suprisingly to me it doesn't lead with any 98s combinations however.

That all makes sense. My thought process was that you block a lot of hands he can have that would check back turn (perhaps why solvers don't like to lead 89 here?) and that there are still many hands he would barrel off turn and river with

i think you are correct in that it is blockers that matter. we see T9s leading and 89s not leading, we also see TT leading more than 99 and 88, and 44 which leads 100%. Tx will have less check backs than 9x and 8x.
