Some thoughts : There are around 10 days a month where I am out of state for work so I cannot grind on PokerstarsNJ. I managed to get my volume from like 10k hands to close to 30k hands already in around 20 days but this will be harder now since I am trying to move up to midstakes so I can't just play whatever at any time. Since I work full-time I feel like 30k hands is a solid amount I should aim for, especially if I focus on playing quality hands at higher stakes in good games instead of just trying to achieve some random volume goal. At the same time, some minimum volume is probably necessary to stay sharp/be good at poker.

This is an ACR hand. I was long debating what I was going to do during the 10 days where I couldn't play and finally decided on ACR for several reasons but mainly because I prefer to travel light and I am playing on a 13.5 Inch Ultrabook. I hate cascading tables and I realized the best option would be to 2 table Blitz. The transition to Blitz at first was not good, lol. I think it's generally hard playing on a completely new site, and I had never used Drivehud before. I have actually never played "Zoom" in my life so my first session was really bad. Thankfully it was at 10nl since I was experimenting but afterwards I was like, lol wtf was that?? I didn't really know what to expect in terms of competition either. ACR is a much larger player pool than NJ and has international players. When I was searching for hud options I actually saw a sponsored video on youtube by Drivehud of some dude playing 10nl Blitz on ACR and he was talking about how it's pretty tough, lol. 50nl so far seems pretty easy but I obviously have to put in more hands on here.

naw his range beats the shit out of villians betting range here, pretty much all boats in our range

Only boat is QT?

Does Q8/Q7/88/77/TT not raise here on this wet board?

I agree that villain has a wide range here but doesn't KxJh block some low % of villains bluffing range? Wouldn't 78 be a better jam here or T8?

Feels tough, game has gotten very bluffy even at those stakes. I'll go try my hand at it soon!

I suppose I missed the fact that KJ blocks QJ and QK.... is villain expected to fold trips here at all? Raising this board with only a Q on the flop is sort of asking for trouble though......

ah I need coaching! : - )

My thinking was the K and J blockers you could argue the relevance either way but unblocking alot of heart and all the important club combos is arguably more important here. Trips could be one of the best combos to call down with in his shoes for sure. Whatever blocker you have is great and all, but I definitely didn't make this play hoping he was just folding straights and trips. His line kind of looks bluffy, and with my unblockers, chance he folds decent holdings, and the fact that I gain so much when he folds (esp his missed A high flush combos) made this a pretty reasonable jam imo. Like neilly said I can rep alot of strong hands as well.

Boat blockers are always going to be preferred here. I think we have more than enough 7x 8x 810s combos to shove river with. But you have the right idea.

Thanks. I've never looked into if Solvers prefer boat blockers over something like this or if it just works out better in practice or anything like that.

I think some boat blockers I might arrive at river with have double hearts/clubs. T8,T7,78 seem good.
