Super common spot. Finally bought solver but have no idea how to use it yet.
What's my line here? I want to protect but realize I'm drawing thin many times. Checking feels weak and hand becomes face up.
When I bet my hand looks like AT+, AQ/AK with a diamond, or JJ+ with a diamond. I don't think I ever play TT or 88 like this, maybe AA. I think I could have flushes here but only a portion of the time. 89, 87, J9, QJ, KJ, QK dd all could play like this. But would probably bet river 90% of the time. I have a dangerous check/raise range so he checked river.
So going through this thought process, I'm kind of answering my own question. Since I said it looks like AQ/AK with a diamond, that implies I check non diamond AQ/AK's here and KK should be lumped in with those hands. But that's the question I suppose. What do I do with AK/AQ/QQ/KK on this board (no diamond)? Bet bigger/fold? or Check/call. |
