He is almost getting 1:4 on the river thou. Calling 2 pair with those odds are understandable (but maybe bad vs asdf range, I dont know). Turn bet is pretty small too. |

Ok on second look, flop call isn't terrible. I don't think it's great, but not terrible. Turn and river are also close.
In his shoes I would fold flop and call turn and river. I'd call a smaller checkraise on flop, not that this checkraise is huge - but It's still overpriced to me. But maybe he thinks I am easy to stack.
It could be that he planned on bluffing flush but because he hit 2 pair that went out the window. |

Once you fold a hand in poker, you're essentially out of the action. If you fold a hand on the "flop" (first 3 cards) your hand is considered "dead" and mucked (surrendered to dealer's pile of cards in the middle) making you unable to participate in "turn" (4th card) and "river" (5th card) bets. It sounds strict but it would be unfair otherwise if you could just not pay at first but come back and win later. |

It seems to be not very profitable in the long run to play those kind of hands. - Gus Hansen | |

I think flop call is rather bad w 9T, too many draws that will keep betting or x/r turn and ofc sets/Kx. T/River I don't mind the call depending on range. He has to be doing it and plan bluffing. |
