hehe Joe,

i think push is easily most +ev move here, wayy better than calling, given i put him on a fairly premium range EXCEPT the cards AA/KK (since he would want value instead of overbet where i most likely fold given my raise range). i think he has AK/JJ/TT most likely.

if he has AK i prolly lose money trying to represent AAA/KKK/tptk if A/K flops, and if he doesnt pair flop, hes less likely to give me action than i am to give him action when he does. so clearly push preflop is better, this way i have a coinflip with huge fold equity preflop to take his 150$ overbet (if i push and he has a brain, he has to deem it VERY likely i have him dominated with AA/KK, if he calls anyway which he did in this case - OMG DONK - its a coinflip in the worst case scenario)

if he has TT/JJ push preflop is better than trap flop since its too likely an overcard flops killing the action (flat call trap is only good for AAvKK/QQ ish situations), and i have him owned if he calls.

no other option, if i really believe theres 0% chance he has AA/KK, i HAVE to push here instead of flatcall, its clearly best.

and yeah, races are fun

strange question when someone devotes 3/4 of his stack on a coin

You almost twin-caracked his AK - JonnyCosmo
