I don't really get that bet on the turn, actually most bets are kind of weird. But I would have checked on the turn for sure.

In fact you just got bad luck, because if you raised pre flop he would have probably called you and after the flop you were just dead.

He definitely has to bet the turn. Villain could be in on any overpair.
