just good situation. Think what would happen then that spade would not been ace.
I personally dont like check on flop.
U get no information at all. Cards like JQ etc create open ended str draws for him what can lead that u get sucked out big in the end.
I would like to bet 20c on flop. If he calls then he is drawing something.
If he raises then its very good sign.
Then u dont have to worry not so much about drawing. If he folds then he is complitly missed draw

I dont think it would matter too much if the spade werent an ace just lay it down. You bet the turn hard and he had no odds to call with 13 outs unless your gonna pay him off on the river.
Wouldn't betting 20 cents on the flop just give him odds to chase his draw?

20c is good bet it shows weakness.Like i dont have ace. This is good point where some players want to steal pot and raise u with any pair.

The way I was looking at it was...I could either bet my set on the flop and scare him off and make .95 or I could try for a trap. I knew the str was up there and I have no problem laying down AA if I felt I was beat. I was trying to let him catch a little something to make more off the hand. Nothing like betting 20 cent's with a hand like that and having him fold. Sure he could have caught something to beat me with too. But it's a chance I was willing to take on that flop.. seemed like a safe flop for my hand.
