got to hate losing to the crack addicts who show no respect for you pre-flop raise then chase some flush and hit.

hmm, well the turn push is the reason why i really liked his line. it seems like the best move a LAG player can make against you, who is either representing a lot of strength or a lot of air, because it forces you to lay down a nothing hand that would otherwise STILL have him beat (i.e. Ax), but at the same time prevents any check-raise that would commit him to the pot on a draw.

im not sure if this is exactly a +EV play, tho, i mean the guy's pushing into a 45$ pot, any amount of fold equity (which, based on results, is obviously very low) cannot outweigh the potential for how much he can lose.

me being a tighter player, i woulda just checked behind ;-D and folded on the river had i not hit, i mean WHYYY would you check and try to trap on a suited board :-(

Why? Checkraise is a pretty normal raise in that situation isnt it?

However I did have a good read. I know him.

btw dyou like his preflop play too? =)

Well that guy bets all the time when he think he can take a pot down!

Personally, I think checking is very risky on a board like that (flush and clear straight possibilities).

Peace of mind cant be bought.
