I allmost allways C-bet and don't slowplay with the betting lead. Once I check the flop and lead the turn it looks like I am just trying to pick it up. When he makes that small raise after checking behind the flop it looks to me like he either has nothing or has a very maginal hand and wants to see if it's good. if he flats the turn I probably check fold river, but becouse he raised I reraise and put a lot of pressure on him. He can't call here without a very strong hand and sense he checked behind the flop I assume that if he has a medium strengh Ace then he is trying to practice pot control and will let it go.
