am i donk for this? he seemed really weak and thought the flop looked really scary holding aces (he could have some sort of 2pair or even AJ for the straight), but he didn't seem to raise me back and he took his time in calling so it made me think he had some small piece of it or maybe JJ or something and didn't like how the board looked. on the turn when the kings paired i bet strong to make it look like i had a king and i figured that if he actually had the king he'd raise me and i could get away but he took his time and flatcalled again, so i tried to push him off it one last time figuring either he had a busted straight or i was completely beat and was just feeding him the whole hand but turns out the one scenario in which i win was what happened. am i an idiot?

at 10nl I would probably check fold the flop. you've invested $0.5 in the pot, there is no reason to play for stacks and end the hand with a $12 pot. At these stakes you want to make very strong hands and bet them. The players will usually pay you off so there is no need to play a hand with only decent holdings. Also consider that these players will call standard raises with KQ QT KT.
Some things I would do differently considering the stakes would be firstly to raise it to .8 pf. Raising less will you get you too many callers in most cases. Try not to represent hands you don't have. This guy probably doesn't even realize his 2p was counterfeited on the turn so he thinks his 3p is a great hand. Last, if you insist on trying to push this guy off his Q, bet more on the turn. Your bet looks weak and his chance of calling it is less if you bet larger on the turn instead of dividing your bets into two between the turn and river.
you're not a donk if you're the one betting out and hes just calling
its his problem for not reraising you
if anything, hes the donk for staying till the river
you played it fine imo

all in on river
Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light not our darkness that most frightens us and as we let our own lights shine we unconsciously give other people permision to do the same
