Sure - it's large enough that it doesn't seem as though it's just a value raise (as raising his 1 to 3 or 4 would), and a 1/2 pot bet on the river is really hard for him to fold anything to.
The question is more do you lead out by checking the turn or not.

the odds of him having a hand on that board are slim.
by checking the turn i get more value because he thinks i cbet and missed.
