I think going all in on the flop is a necessity for this kind of hand (because of preflop action). 55 or 35 or A3 are basically out of the question for him and your hand is very sensitive to being outdrawn but VERY well masked. He will call with his overpair and be a huge underdog. |

yeah i should have reraised flop here, but since i knew he had 2 outs/runners i felt i could slowplay it. wrong move by me |

I think slowplaying it is a bad idea because you arent getting maximum value and you arent using the preflop action to its full potential, its very unlikely he will put you on a 3 unless he knows you raise pf with these kind of hands frequently...but if you are an otherwise solid/predictable player you can definitely use it to your advantage. If he folds its really no problem because it fortifies your image and he will only call with lesser hands in this situation. Slowplaying it just gives him an opportunity to outdraw you. Also there are so many scare cards for him on the turn that it will shutdown your potential to get $$$ from him. |
