hmm maybe check the turn?
flat calls on the flop like that always seem to be dangerous

Yea.. to be honest i think i would have died on this hand too probably!
But think about that. You beat : QQ,AQ,AJ,AT, JJ
You lose against : KK,AK,QK,JK,TK,QJ,TT <-- some of them are unlikely but still!

ya just check behind on the turn...
If he has a king, youll just go broke, but theres no point in betting. If hes beating you he'll call, if hes losing, he'll fold. you also have to hope hes a donk and only bets like 800 instead of allin, so you dont lose as many chips.
if i had a read that the guy was a good solid player, i might consider a fold when he pushes on the river. the pot is like 2x your stack after the flop action, and with his smooth call on the flop, he knows he has no fold equity, so hes not on some elaborate bluff. in the case that hes solid, but is just trying to show down QQ for cheap, he'll check the river to you also, but may fold to an all-in. this all depends on read though, and id usually call after being so pot committed. |

I think you have to check/fold the turn and river. Your not really ahead of anything here; AQ and AJ would not be calling on that flop, I think it unlikely that A10 would call PF, much less call your flop bet. I don't think QQ would just call here out of the big blind, he has a 2300 stack and after calling your raise theres over 1200 in the pot so I'd think QQ would be pushing PF but I guess it would depend on the player. The only hand I think you could be ahead of here is JJ, and JJ is likely to just check down. The flop also isn't very cordinated the only draw out there is the straight draw which completes on the turn.
IMO any hand thats calling or raising the turn has you beat and any hand that your ahead of will just check down. |

there's no point in checking the turn if you're calling the all in on the river
you're just giving him a free card
i think you have to push here, because if he has a K, the money's going in anyway, and if he doesn't you don't want him seeing any free cards or him putting you on a slowplayed king (if he has like JJ QQ or a ten.) |

You can't really fold aces when you're like 16xBB and raised preflop. At least not without a serious read and a good reason. You've got less than 10xBB left. You should soon be putting them in as a 1-2 underdog anyway. Do you prefer that to going all in with aces?
Still, you might check the turn to at least try and take some money from the hands you beat.
Well, if you do have a read, I'm sure you can fold it, but it'll be pretty damn hard.
Ah, I wanted to reply in the topic, but anyway.. |

thats just a hand you cant get away from. there is always a slight possibility your opponent would call on the flop with QJ or AT, and if he has a king you gotta pay and see it. bad luck : -( |
