Why check-call? You never know where you are in a hand that way.

because this guy is a solid player and wouldnt call on the flop with trash.

on the turn i call with a flush draw

on the river he bets 1/4 of the pot and i have top two pair and i cant afford to fold and be wrong

in my opinion, check-calling isn't bad in this situation because he is oop and that's the only way to control pot size
