I wouldn't have advocated the way you played this. It was pretty loose-weak. AT is a good starting hand but you have to be the one opening the pot. That way,if you get reraise, you know there's AK, or a PP, JJ or higher. You gave everyone a change to draw against you. And throughout the hand you had no idea what hands you were up against. On the flop you could put Geachy on an A but since you didn't open the pot preflop you have no idea of his kicker, and since you didn't raise him on the flop you don't know if he's confident on his kicker. Since you didn't bet aggressively and bet people out, everyone went down to showdown. With 3 people going down to showdown, it's usually the case that 1 pair isn't good enough to win. Start playing aggressive poker man

Calling with AT is tight play, raising with it is loose-aggressive especially since im in the big blind

I played it non-standard on the flop for a number of reasons which are pretty hard to explain, i'll try my best though

8cAs3d
hutch71: bets $0.05

PF raiser bets, i call - most of the table knows its a weak bet even at this low level of play so i know if someone re-raise and he calls then he's not got an ace and also that they have a weak ace

ggplz: calls $0.05
merzze: calls $0.05
geachy: raises $0.15 to $0.20
hutch71: calls $0.15
ggplz: calls $0.15

I just call here to show i also have a pretty weak hand, it doesnt matter what the next card is really. I'm going to raise it

merzze: calls $0.15

8cAs3d5h
hutch71: checks

Now i'm 100% sure i'm ahead

ggplz: bets $0.45

However, i know i'll get paid off for being weak on the flop / preflop

merzze: folds
geachy: calls $0.45
hutch71: calls $0.45

geachy: checks

I checked to geachy because the chances are good his low ace is now two pair but he didnt bet so i was fine =o

hang on tightly, let go lightly

alright, makes more sense now, the flop explanation and then river was necessary though for people to make sense of this
