oh noooooooo
wanted to c/r flop?
bad call on turn imo, because of the guy (88) who limp/called preflop, checked flop in front, check/called a bet and raise allin on turn. obviously has a real hand, calling with short odds no less.
after turn blanks for you, don't bet out. c/f without like 2:1 to call (that's enough pot odds and you probably have good implied odds). this is because now your equity is drastically decreased against any hands you'd want to tangle with on the flop.
note: you're getting about exactly 4:1, or a small amount less, to call on the turn, and your FD is just over 4:1 against hitting, but you might be in a worse spot if your 2c out is dirty, making you closer to 5:1 against winning. but remember you (theoretically) don't have great implied odds for a side pot since somebody's allin on turn. that is, your hand becomes extremely transparent if another club falls and you are betting into a dry side pot on the river. also, having two opponents in a raised pot, a higher FD might be out. |

no, wanted pf raiser to bet before deciding what to do (so i could see the other guy's action befor ei put money in)
i bet turn cause i thoguht i had the best hand and wanted to take it down there
i was getting exactly 4:1 odds with position so i called. im not putting any more in unless i hit flush, plus im definitely winning extra, so the call is fine |

put it this way though
i realized his coldcall indicated a very strong hand
if 2c came i would be very cautious and fold to all in
i also knew that it would force me to get 5:1 instead of 4:1, but IF it was dirty then i will win more on the end from other clubs (do you really think he's check folding a set there?)
ill move this to hand discussion cause i think it's a pretty interesting scenario |

Aside from what happened I think checking the flop and betting less than half on turn is weak poker.
I bet out on the flop. If the shortstack pre-flop raiser goes all-in I really don't mind, since you're a small favourite here over an overpair. I'm abstracting from the fact that the 3rd guy had a set, becasue you shouldn't assume he's a threat. His check on turn was awful btw. |

i checked planning on check raising all in against the short stack preflop raiser
but, i was afraid of the player left in the hand, so i wanted to see him act before i did that. if he called the raise, it would increase my odds and i wouldnt have to check raise all in.
if i bet and the preflop raiser raised then the other guy reraised i can safely get away from the hand. if he cold called, id have to make a decision.
when the pf raiser checked behind and the other guy checked the turn, i was pretty sure my hand was best now. i figured the other guy had a lower pocket pair that missed and pf raiser had 2 overs. so i bet on the merits of my hand, not as a semi bluff, but i also wanted to take down the pot right there.
pf raiser pushed, i would have called immediately against only him. however the other guy cold calls.
the cold call was really strange to me. i figured he either had a hand like JJ, or a set. at this point i assumed he had a set, giving myself 8 outs. with only 4:1 that isnt enough to call cause one of my outs isnt clean. however, i have position, and i highly doubted that he would just check fold a set in that spot if a flush came. so i thought i had enough to call here. plus there was the possibility that he didnt have a set and i had some extra outs (however, this is also countered by the possibility of him having a higher flush draw)
there are a few weird conflicting factors in there, but i think i correctly placed pf raiser on just overs and him being a retarded fish and the other guy on a set. that being said, do you think calling with 4:1 odds when i need roughly 36:8 to call is justified? i was positive i could win something on the end there, i would just have to value bet smartly if a flush came or id have to be careful if the 2c came. |

Playing this my way and the way you played it, would prob yeild the same result - Smallstack going all in with nothing and the guy with trips flat calling + pushing on later street. Everything here looks preety standard. |
