It's either good or its not. Agressive player (who isnt these days). How often KK good in this spot? JJ, QQ, AA or aggro AK would be the obvious hand range. Getting stacked by AA will happen sometimes but my instinct tells me not as often as KK is good. thoughts? |

edit: i think it's good less than you think.
utg+1 raiser, very strong.
bb reraises strong with intermediate caller.
blinds normally dont do that unless very aggressive and also if the UTG+1 is very aggressive. |

i Prefer to ReRaise PreFlop With KK just for More inforMation but Your Play is Fine. I agree That KK Is Good There more than it isN't. nH. |

if u go for another re-raise... a better player wont throw his stack at u like that
more times than not ur dominating there, but every so often AA will get u
i hate that situation personally, its either 100% ownage or the other way around |

Exactly my thinking Frinx. Bigballs I thought you would laydown here from reading some of your other posts. I'm not saying that is wrong but remember this is 10/25 NL and alot of players understand how to push smaller edges much harder and will not be afraid to pot continuation bet AKs, QQ or JJ on flop and turn.
Reraising him again preflop and he can safely throw QQ away, but you will find out if he has AA. If you reraise again preflop you will likely win a much smaller pot when he has AK, JJ, and QQ as many will laydown. |

yes i do understand that, but without a read, a blind reraising an early position raiser and a strong caller is very scary, especially in a full seated game. then potting it twice in a row is even scarier.
if the player is aggressive and you know he is capable of reraising out of the blinds with garbage, or JJ+, then go for it. but i think without a read id fold the flop.
i do like your play of just calling the raise AND the reraise preflop. definitely get some extra action from tight aggressives.
however, thinking about it this way, you need him to have less than AA less than 50% of the time to make this play profitable. so basically, if there is any chance he would reraise oop with QQ or AK then go for it.
did you have a read on the UTG+1, or the BB? |
