ok, so you would've pushed? thought a lot about that one, but layed it down.. considering I had the lowest possible set I figured he could have a better set too.

Poker is quiet war; it is tidy bloodlust; it is ripping the guts out of the guy next to you and tossing them back in his face with a pair of aces.

the calculator says I would've had a 35% chance to win that had assuming he had a straight.. so maybe a push would be correct here due to the high win percentage and that he might not even be ahead like you said erly

this is what you get for limping preflop, just raise it up so you can narrow their hand ranges + more easily stack weaker hands when you hit cause of a) deception and b) there's more money in the pot.

One day good. One day bad. And some days, even hope

Thanks midian. does this go for any position and any pocket pair?

I never get this scenario since I never limp like this, but I probably wouldnt fold a set. Cant remember I have ever folded a set if it wasnt OBVIOUS set is beat

What makes me scared to raise small PPs like these everytime in these limits, is that I'm afraid of getting to many callers, something which will prevent me from continuation betting the flop, and thus giving the pot away..

in higher limits though, it is much easier to continuation bet and win the pot right there in case you don't hit your set (something which is the case most of the time, obviously)
